Our new Alumni initiative is a strategic priority to build on the excellent work we do in schools. We know we can go beyond our current work and play an integral role in supporting young people into stable and aspirational employment. Our vision is that all young people can be empowered to discover their best future.

We are currently seeking a Project Co-ordinator to join us on our Alumni programme on a full-time basis, working 34 hours per week. We are open to discussing hybrid working options once you have completed your initial training with us, with the possibility of WFH one or two days a week.

This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension based on good performance and successful expansion of the programme.

The Role

As a Project Co-ordinator, you will support the development and delivery of our Alumni programme.

Supporting the Project Manager, you will co-ordinate in person and virtual secondary school career events and support the delivery of our youth advisory board sessions.

Providing excellent administrative support, you will send out event details to volunteers, as well as creating high quality communications to increase and engage our young audience.

Additionally, you will

- Update our Alumni tracking system
- Manage our CRM system
- Support the onboarding of new Alumni sign ups
- Co-ordinate the evaluation of our programmes

The Jack Petchey Internship Programme

As part of this role, you will be part of the Jack Petchey Internship Programme with 30 other interns from different youth organisations in London and Essex. This development programme will involve you attending a launch conference, four professional development workshops through the year and a celebration event at the end of the programme. You will receive an extra training bursary of £1,000 for approved training. You will also be matched with a mentor from another organisation to support you in your professional development. The Jack Petchey Internship Programme training and events will take place in person in London, and you will be expected to take full part in this programme alongside your role at The Switch.

About You

To be considered as a Project Co-ordinator, you will need:

- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style for different audiences and channels
- IT literate with experience of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- An understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunities
- The ability to engage and relate to young people
- A commitment to personal and professional development

Interviews will take place on the weeks of 6th and 13th of February and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will start no later than 20th March.
