Here at the Suttons Group, a long standing and successful global logistics provider, we have the opportunity for a Nippon Contract Manager to join our team based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.
As a Nippon Contract Manager for Suttons, you’ll be fundamental to our consistent delivery of high quality, cost effective, international logistics services. You’ll be influential in supporting our innovative approach to logistics and add significant value to the team.
You’ll be fundamental to providing a first class commercial and management service for the Nippon contract to protect and promote the interests of both Suttons Group and the customer, ensuring standards are upheld and consistent.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the financial performance of the contract.
• Ensure high levels of service responding to the customers’ needs enabling them to fulfil their orders.
• Develop the customer relationship, increasing revenue through growth in core operations and value added services.
• Setting budgets and reporting actual against budget.
• Cost control and driving efficiencies.
• Working within the agreed strategic plan to achieve agreed revenue profit and margin targets for existing contract business.
• Work in alignment with the training department to ensure that all employees are trained to the required levels.
• Responsible for the Health and Safety and Environment for all operations and employees within your area of responsibility.
• Overseeing Operations ensuring that Customer expectations are met, looking for ways to provide a better service to the customer.
• Accountable for P&L and KPIs.
• Ownership of the customer relationship including regular customer review meetings and delivering KPI performance data within these meetings.
• Ensure all site operations consistently adhere to Company Rules and Regulations including attendance, mobile phone, driving, no smoking and alcohol and drugs policies. Ensure appropriate action is taken if these policies and procedures are not followed.
• Produce reports on KPIs and Objectives as set at a strategic level.
• Ensure compliance of transport and current legislation is adhered to at all times

Experience
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Experience working with customers.
• Flexible and robust approach to work load.
• A good knowledge and understanding of Health and safety.

Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team.
• Health and safety driven.
