Working Schedule: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours

An opportunity has arisen within our Bunzl Safety business for a talented Bid Writer to join our Bid Team. This role would suit an individual from a Bid Coordinator or Junior Bid Writer background who is seeking progression in their career. A natural project manager, you'll be comfortable reporting to a team of subject matter experts to craft winning solutions. A fluent and persuasive communicator with a flair for writing, you'll have the ability to creatively and effectively communicate key information into a market leading, compelling service. You will be able to evaluate information rapidly and help shape tailored proposals with complete confidence.
Flexible and adaptable, you will have experience in bidding to a range of markets across both public and private sector bids. We require someone who's highly organised and skilled in managing a bid library, and in creating and curating content in a logical and systematic way. With sound commercial knowledge, you'll also need an excellent eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. You’ll need expert MS Office skills, whilst being skilled in InDesign and be comfortable using your initiative to work independently, as well as part of a team. To support and assist the Safety Bid Team to produce outstanding bid responses and manage the end to end process from bid qualifications to pitch.
•Writing bespoke, compelling and market leading tender documents (PQQ/RFI’s, RFP/ITT’s) for both new and existing business.
•Support the continued development of the ‘Bid Library’
•Organise and participate in ‘Kick Off’ and ‘Review’ meetings
•Use InDesign to create market leading tenders
•Create presentations in collaboration with the ‘Business Development’ and ‘Corporate Account’ teams
•Occasional travel to our Service Centres and other businesses
•Ensure that all major tenders / enquires are managed to meet the internal expectations
•At least one years’ experience as a Bid Coordinator or a similar role
•English, Journalism or equivalent degree or qualification would be advantageous, but not critical.
•Advanced in MS Office, specifically in Word and PowerPoint Intermediate/ Advanced in InDesign
