About Us

Justice and Care is a charity dedicated to saving lives and breaking the grip of slavery. We rescue victims of slavery and human trafficking, empowering them to rebuild their lives.

We work with the police to pursue and dismantle criminal networks, secure communities at risk from traffickers and spark systematic change.

So far, we have saved 4,753 lives, enabled 1,150 arrests and given care and protection to 3,527 survivors. We are eager to do more and have launched a European anti-trafficking and slavery programme, working with governments, law enforcement agencies and other NGOs to fight crime and care for victims.

We are now looking for a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Victim Navigator to join this programme on a two year contract. You will work in partnership with the Metropolitan Police within their kidnapping and trafficking unit to support adult victims of slavery, trafficking and other forms of exploitation.

The Benefits

- Salary of up to £35,000 DOE per annum
- Private healthcare
- Pension
- Support a ground-breaking charity that is restoring lives

You will have the chance to act as a bridge between victims and police efforts that will bring exploiters to justice and support the victims to rebuild their lives.

While this is a two year post, we have ambitions to do more and expect this role to develop further once the contract has finished, giving you the opportunity to help even more people in need.

- Providing strategic advice on victim engagement across investigations
- Delivering training to police officers on victim awareness and best practice victim engagement

About You

To join us as a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Victim Navigator, you will need:

- At least five years’ experience of working within the public sector and supporting victims of violent crimes or modern slavery and/or human trafficking
- Experience of working with front line professionals from a number of sectors, particularly the police
- Previous experience within international modern slavery and human trafficking victim support
- The ability to build or co-ordinate anti-slavery or victim support multi-agency partnerships
- A full driving licence and the ability to travel and work unsociable hours

Please note, due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be subject to security vetting, which will include confirming your eligibility to work and live in the UK.

This role is aligned to public protection, law enforcement, victim support, case management, case working, and international case management, as well as the roles of Anti-Trafficking Officer and Victim Advocate.
