The Organisation

Maximising potential for over 20 years, Westcountry Case Management provides a specialist case management service that helps individuals recruit their own support workers. We were rated as Outstanding in our recent CQC inspection.

Our ambition is to inspire clients, their relatives and professionals alike by consistently attaining excellent outcomes; supporting people with compassion and kindness.

We are currently looking for a number of female Support Workers to support our client, an educated woman who has a brain injury.

The Benefits

- Salary of £14.84 - £19.18 per hour
- Work directly for the end client and not an agency
- Make a positive, lasting difference to a woman’s life
- Statutory benefits and holiday

The Role

As a Support Worker, you work as part of a team to provide 24/7 care for our client, a lady in her mid-fifties.

Following an accident some years ago, our client acquired a brain injury and is a wheelchair user. She has a cat, has a flair for creativity and enjoys art. She lives in her own home in Eastleigh.

This is a part-time role, working an average of 21 hours per week, on a flexible basis to cover a 24/7 rota.

About You

To join us as a Support Worker, you will need:

- Previous experience in a similar care role
- A positive attitude
- Be tolerant of cats (as our client has one)
- Great communication skills
- A full, valid driving licence

Ideally, you will have, at a minimum, an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in care but this is not essential. Competent IT skills would also be beneficial.

Due to the personal care nature of this role, only female applicants will be considered. This post is compliant with Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 relating to Occupational Requirements.

Other organisations may call this role Care Assistant, Personal Care Assistant, Care Worker, or Support Worker.

This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS. You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.

Please note, we reserve the right to interview and appoint earlier than the stated closing date, should there be a good response to the advert.

Due to the current climate, interviews will be held via Zoom/Skype/other such teleconferencing tools, therefore candidates MUST HAVE the ability to attend an interview via these methods.
