Sue Ryder are looking for experienced and flexible Nursing Assistants to join their team of bank staff at Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough to work ad hoc shifts.

We offer a range of support to patients and their families including inpatient care in our 20 bed hospice, a day service for those with long-term conditions and support in the community through our befriending, Hospice at Home and bereavement services.

The Nursing Assistant role:

• To carry out high quality holistic person centred care and support to individuals accessing Sue Ryder Services.
• To work within the Health and Social Care Team.
• Ensure that the rights and choices of individuals are actively promoted and supported and their beliefs and preferences are appropriately acknowledged
• Carry out delegated care and support tasks whilst ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable environment

The suitable applicant will have:

• Numeracy and literacy skills
• IT skills including accessing the internet, email and word
• Good communication skills
• Experience of working within a team
