The Company

Currently expanding into new markets, our client provides a wide variety of industrial, laboratory, plant, kitchen and personal gas safety products to their customers. They are now looking for a Technical Sales Executive to join their small, but busy team.

The Role

As a Technical Sales Executive, you will be tasked with actively seeking out and engaging with customer prospects with the aim of generating sales of our client’s product range.

Identifying and establishing new business customers, you will make outbound sales calls, organise sales visits (when it is safe to undertake them), close sales and work to retain customers.

You will operate right across the sales process, generating tenders, proposals and quotes, presenting, promoting and selling products, negotiating contracts and terms, and providing pre- and post-sales support.

Your role will also involve:

- Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
- Performing cost and needs analysis
- Expediting issues and complaints to maximise satisfaction
- Using business intelligence to understand the marketplace

About You

To be considered as a Technical Sales Executive, you will need:

- At least two years’ technical sales experience
- A technical background with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
- A proven track record in sales coupled with high levels of motivation and the drive to achieve targets
- An excellent level of IT literacy, especially with MS Office suite
- The ability to create and effectively deliver targeted and tailored presentations
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- An organised approach and the ability to prioritise and manage your own time
- Strong relationships management skills and the willingness to accept feedback
- Plenty of initiative, multi-tasking skills and a strong customer focus
- Close attention to detail and the ability to retain information
- A full, valid driving licence

Our client would like to hear from you if you’ve worked as a Sales Advisor, Sales Rep, Sales Representative, Business Development Rep, Customer Service Executive, Customer Service Representative, Customer Care Advisor, or Sales Executive.

This is a full-time role, working 8:30 - 17:00, Monday - Thursday and 8:30 - 15:00 on Friday.
