The Organisation

Our client is a social enterprise that focuses on supporting people with disabilities and health-related conditions to get into, and sustain, employment. They employ, support and train over one thousand individuals across Northern Ireland every year.

They are now on the lookout for an IT Support Technician to play a key role in their IT Helpdesk operations, dealing with incoming calls, troubleshooting user issues and providing technical support to staff.

The Role

As an IT Support Technician, you will:

- Act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries, fielding and recording incoming calls and emails
- Ensure systems are running effectively
- Escalate any incidents
- Use a triage system to manage calls and escalate to a contracted IT support company as required
- Update end users on the progress of their resolution
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Troubleshoot issues both in person and remotely
- Support a range of internal IT projects

About You

To be considered as an IT Support Technician, you will need:

- Previous experience of providing IT support activities in a paid or voluntary position
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office 365 suite of products
- Experience working with Microsoft Operating Systems
- An understanding of the principles of networking, hardware and internet technologies
- An understanding the principles of server and cloud-based technologies
- An understanding of new and emerging technologies
- An Undergraduate Degree or equivalent certification in an ICT area
