Our client is a social enterprise that focuses on supporting people with disabilities and health-related conditions to get into, and sustain, employment. They employ, support and train over one thousand individuals across Northern Ireland every year.

They are now looking for a Catering Manager to join their team in Belfast and play a vital role in the running of one of their cafés.

The Role

As the Catering Manager, you will be tasked with running our client’s busy café and ensuring its continuing success.

Specifically, you will open the café, prep and set up for service, manage staff and ensure everything runs smoothly, complete daily orders and cash up at the end of the shift, reconciling and balancing tills.

Your role will also involve:

- Ensuring all necessary tasks are completed including cleaning and temperature checks
- Making sure staff are presentable and act will professionalism
- Leading the team from the front
- Ensuring a high-quality service is consistently delivered to customers
- Reporting to staff performance, business levels and areas of improvement to your line manager

As part of your role, you will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays as well as peak periods such as the Easter holidays and the month of July.

About You

To be considered as the Catering Manager, you will need:

- At least one year’s supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to carry out tasks quickly and competently
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A demonstrate, positive “can do” attitude that is solution focused

A Food Safety Level 2 certificate would be beneficial to your application. Experience of working in a café would also be desirable, as would experience of working with people that have a disability. Ideally, you will also have a valid driving licence and access to transport that is appropriate for this post.
