We are currently looking for a driven, passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team and take on a leading role as a Senior Autism Practitioner.

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Autism Practitioner, you will be tasked with managing and leading support services for individuals with autism in the West Lothian and Edinburgh areas.

You will be directly supporting those who deliver care to individuals with autism and learning difficulties and will be able to build a strong network of autism practitioners across the region who provide outstanding care and support.

Some of your duties will include:

- Managing two to three large care packages for individuals with autism in their own tenancies
- Ensuring that service users receive tailored person-centred support which meets their needs and improves their health and wellbeing
- Line managing Autism Practitioners and recruiting new team members
- Motivating and supporting staff to perform at their best
- Performing audits regarding medication administration and service user financial expenditure

What will I need?

To join us as a Senior Autism Practitioner, you will need:

- Knowledge of autism, an understanding of learning disabilities or a background in social work
- Experience gained in a supervisory and/or management role
- A qualification in health and social care, or the willingness to gain both an SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and Leadership and Management for Care Services
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- A full driving licence and ideally access to your own vehicle

This is a full-time role, including shifts that cover weekends and evenings, so flexibility towards working hours is key. You will also be required to take part in the on-call and backup rota (for which enhanced pay will be given).
