We’re now looking for a Legal Professional to join us in Belfast and play a key role within our Disputes Resolution team.

The Role

As a Legal Professional, you will join our highly regarded, cross-border, multi-disciplinary Disputes Resolution team and help to tackle a range of legal challenges for all manner of clients.

Our Disputes Resolution team keeps complex matters moving forward, dispensing focused and incisive counsel and advice and solving problems. Meeting the needs of high-net-worth, corporate or government clients in the UK, Europe, US, CIS, Middle East, North Africa and Asia, we protect their interests and use a wide range of different techniques and approaches to achieve our aims.

Acting in the capacity of a Paralegal, your role will involve:

- Drafting, reviewing and preparing documentation
- Proofreading and managing documents
- Reviewing documents for privilege
- Liaising with Partners, clients and third parties
- Attending team meetings and providing effective input
- Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements
- Assisting with trial preparation, including the preparation of trial bundles
- Legal research and other investigative tasks

About You

To be considered as a Legal Professional, you will need:

- A strong educational background and law degree, preferably with a minimum grade of 2:1
- Experience of handling a varied and busy workload
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Commercial understanding allowing you to foresee upcoming needs and act proactively
- A team player mentality and a reliable and professional nature
- The ability to work methodically and at pace, even when time pressured
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm and a keen, proactive approach
- The drive to exceed expectations and be fully committed to the role

Six months’ experience of working as a Paralegal and/or Legal Professional would be beneficial to your application. Experience of working in a document review team and a solid understanding of privilege would also be an advantage.
