The organisation’s entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to their headquarters in Carrickfergus and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe.

As Purchasing and Supply Manager, you will plan, manage and deliver programs of production, working with manufacturing partners globally to meet forecasted sales and stock requirements.

You will ensure the high-quality standards appropriate to each brand are achieved and maintained throughout and that all purchase orders are delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

The role will involve sales forecasting and stock planning, production schedule planning, supplier negotiation including prices, lead times and terms of trade, as well as delivery management including freight and efficient import procedures. You will be responsible for the development of costing models for price-setting to defined margins and ultimately the achievement of same through optimum supply efficiency.

This is a varied and challenging role calling for a confident communicator with meticulous attention to detail, good numeracy skills and accuracy. The successful candidate will be well organised and flexible, a good team player with a methodical approach and the ability to meet deadlines.

In addition, they must be resilient, an effective problem solver, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The role may require occasional travel to visit offshore production facilities.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- Experience in similar purchasing and supply roles
- Experience of working with an international supply base
- A track record of negotiating contracts covering price, quantities and delivery
- Strong interpersonal skills with solid written and verbal skills
- A high level of IT literacy, including MS Office and Excel
- A full driving licence and valid passport
