CROSS (Collaborative Reporting for Safer Structures) helps professionals and others to make structures safer. We do this by publishing safety information based on the reports we receive and information in the public domain. CROSS is a trusted provider of free safety information for the built environment.

The Role

This unique and dynamic role will manage the day-to-day operations of CROSS in the UK including the acquisition and processing of CROSS reports and management of the CROSS systems including the website. You will be analysing confidential information, identifying trends, and making recommendations to Government and industry to improve structural and fire safety.

Your role will be supporting, working, and collaborating with the CROSS Expert Panels, contractors, consultants, specialists, volunteers, and other key stakeholders to ensure scheme objectives are met. Developing publications and initiatives for CROSS in the UK and supporting the CROSS international schemes’ development will be part of your responsibilities.

You will be part of a small team reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

- Knowledge of regulations and requirements relating to the built environment.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to devise and deliver a programme of activity and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Practical structural engineering experience across a broad range of projects and the construction industry.
- An appetite to learn, build on knowledge and current experience to influence the built environment and structural and fire engineering industry.
- Proficient computer skills.
- An understanding and appreciation of the management of confidential information.
