Occupational Health Nurse (Mental Health)

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse with a Mental Health background to join our team. Working as part of the central functions team you will be used to working in a fast paced, agile environment.

You will be working with a leading organisation providing mental health absence intervention for their staff. This is a remote role but there will be occasional travel to Oldbury and Cheadle.


What you'll be doing:

• Working closely with managers to understand the issues behind Mental Health Absence.
• Provide proactive intervention to help combat absence rates.
• You will be responsible for triaging the referrals and encourage the employee to return to work or provide them with an onward referral.
• Defining, developing and influencing Client policy and strategy for managing mental health.
• Attending health and wellbeing working groups.
• Design and deliver training and awareness sessions to Mental Health First Aiders and Managers (in conjunction with OH) around mental health and the workplace.
• Provide expert, evidence-based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice when mental health is a factor.
