About Us

Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change (CN4C) is a charity and a social enterprise which aims to transform the quality of life for people, places and communities.

We are now looking for a Young People Learning Co-ordinator to join us for a fixed term contract, working 30 hours per week.

The Role

As a Young People Learning Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Taking Our Successes and Achievements Together (TOAST) programme in St Austell.

TOAST supports young people that would otherwise not be in education, employment or training, and have additional support needs, including Educational Healthcare Plans.

Your role will include line managing a Learning Support Practitioner and supporting the Young People Manager with the administration of the programme.

Helping develop the service, you will focus on progressing the programme in St Austell and incorporating what matters to people as well as input from our members, staff, stakeholders, partners, funders and the wider community.

About You

To be considered as a Young People Learning Co-ordinator, you will need:

- A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
- Experience of working with young people with complex needs
- An understanding how to overcome the barriers for people facing multiple and complex needs
- An understanding of the need for confidentiality and equal opportunities
- An understanding how to create a safe operating environment
- An understanding of working with people through traumatic events
- An understanding of community development
- Knowledge and experience of administration systems and procedures and office processes
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- A high level of interpersonal skills and experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs
- Experience of updating and maintaining data systems
- Experience of providing results and reports to management team and project funders.
