We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial claims for all programmes delivered by CN4C and the internal finances for the organisation.

Working as part of the Strategic Management Team, you will support the CEO and Heads of Service with the financial aspects of programmes, as well as Management Reporting.

You will line manage the Claims and Finance team and will work closely with the Resources Manager on purchases and processes within the organisation. Playing an active role in regular meetings with the SMT, you will attend business planning sessions and board meetings as required.

Additionally, you will:

- Be responsible for cashbooks, petty cash, bank reconciliations and payment of suppliers
- Process payroll each month, including pensions and HMRC payments
- Prepare management and statutory accounts
- Collate and prepare financial information required for monitoring and audit
- Design and maintain spreadsheets for analysis purposes

About You

To join us as our Finance Manager, you will need:

- At least two years’ experience of working in a similar role
- Experience of completing payroll on a regular basis
- Experience of managing cashflow, including forecasting
- Previous experience of line management
- Knowledge of charitable organisation financial reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office, with strong Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A Level 2 English and Maths qualification, or the ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy to that level

Experience of reporting on ERDF/ESF programmes or similar would be beneficial to your application, as would an understanding of the European Funding context. Experience with Xero and/or Clearbooks, and knowledge of SORP(FRS102) for charities would also be advantageous.

A people management qualification and/or training is also desirable.
