£37,408 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Operations & Facilities Manager to join the team at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

The Role

Reporting to and deputising for the General Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, leading and motivating the facilities, grounds, living collection and reserves teams to achieve operational improvements. You are NEBOSH certified or equivalent and will be responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met for the site. You will also work a duty manager rota and will be required to work 5 days over 7 including some weekends.

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a conservation charity that protects wetlands for wildlife and people. We conserve, restore and create wetlands. We are pioneers in saving wetland wildlife and we work internationally in key global wetland areas, balancing conservation with sustainable livelihoods and influencing national and international conservation policies. WWT Slimbridge is where it all began and during the last two years, we have transformed the centre into a vibrant visitor attraction by creating several new exhibits which bring to life the amazing work that WWT does, both in the UK and across the world.
