Call Hub Supervisor - Veterinary Services - Full time, 12 month fixed term contract
Based at our Manchester Rehoming, Behaviour and Advice Unit

We are one of the UK’s leading rehoming organisations for animals. We support sick, injured and homeless pets and care for more than 40,000 animals every year through our rehoming, veterinary and education programmes. Our Talent & Resourcing team have a very important role - we recruit our brilliant people, both our paid and volunteering roles. What is the role.

We have a brand new role, supporting a new, small team of call handlers in helping pet owners to access veterinary care for their pets at one of our veterinary hospital around the country. You will be responsible for training, managing and supporting a young inexperienced team of contact handlers who will share information with pet owners to establish if they qualify for free or affordable Blue Cross veterinary services and set appointments for them where appropriate.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and experience of training and supporting new teams with guidance and advice throughout their learning experience. In addition we would hope to find a candidate who has a love for animals and is familiar with animal welfare and wellbeing.

This is a full time role of 35 hours a week Monday - Friday. Due to the nature of the work of Blue Cross, and this post, it maybe necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands.

What is required

We are looking for the following
• Experienced of working in a call centre environment as team leader or supervisor
• Knowledge and understanding of pet welfare which could be as a result of work or a hobby
• Demonstrable customer service skills
• Computer literate - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
• Experience of training others in a fun and motivating way

It would also be great if you had

• Webchat and email communication
• Experience of handling complaints
• Knowledge of using CRM/database systems
• Experience of a charity
• Experience of handling challenging customers and situations
