We are now looking for a Lecturer in Secondary Art and Design to join Yr Athrofa: Centre for Education in Swansea on a permanent, full-time basis.

- THE ROLE -

As a Lecturer in Secondary Art and Design, you will deliver a portfolio of learning solutions to support teacher education at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Providing a variety of learning settings, from seminars and small group tutorials to large lectures, workshops or placements, you will deliver the programme of study using engaging teaching styles and techniques.

Additionally, you will:

- Design and develop teaching materials, and assessment methods and criteria
- Supervise the work of students, providing advice as required
- Offer appropriate advice, feedback, support, and encouragement to students
- Undertake a range of scholarly and research activity

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Lecturer, you will need:

- Evidence of a contribution to education research theory and practice
- Evidence of appropriate engagement with quality assurance and regulatory requirements
- Effective skills and experience in the field of education, and where appropriate, the ability to manage and motivate as part of a team
- Personal academic and professional credibility and achievement
- Knowledge of, and engagement with, the school and community education sector in Wales, specifically Secondary Art and Design
- Flexibility to travel across Wales, and beyond, as and when necessary
- Qualified Teacher Status
- An honours degree in a relevant subject
- A higher-level postgraduate qualification (Masters or above) relevant to the position, or willingness to undertake further study
