We are now looking for a Sports Centre Assistant to join our Sports Centre team at our Carmarthen campus. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week.

- THE ROLE -

As a Sports Centre Assistant, you will play a vital role in the running and day-to-day management of our Sports Centre on our Carmarthen campus.

Providing a visible presence, you will proactively engage with customers and provide key support to the Sports Centre Manager. Specifically, you will help to plan, develop, implement and market events and activities run by the Centre.

Additionally, you will undertake a range of administrative activities in support of the wider Estates function. This will include accounting, recording and ordering of stock, handling written complaints and other admin activities such as recording time and attendance and staff leave and sickness.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Sports Centre Assistant, you will need:

- A Level 2 Gym Instructor or equivalent qualification
- Experience of working in a customer service environment, preferably sport/leisure related including dealing with demanding customers and handling complaints
- Experience of running fitness induction sessions, creating member programmes, and dealing with fitness-related enquiries
- Experience of supervising casual staff
- Experience of planning day-to-day delivery of service
- Experience of setting and maintaining standards
- Recognised First Aid at Work and Automated de-fibrillation qualifications (or the ability to achieve these)
- Good standard of written and numeracy skills
