We are now looking for a Compliance Assistant to join our teams at our Swansea, Carmarthen or Lampeter campuses. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week.

- THE ROLE -

As a Compliance Assistant, you will undertake a range of compliance activities that will ensure our facilities and estate are managed well and are in good condition. Travelling between university locations, you will ensure that we meet legislative requirements.

You will act as the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Compliance Team when on site, identifying and testing areas of potential non-compliance and entering the results onto our Computer Aided Facilities Management System.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Compliance Assistant, you will need:

- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Effective organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to organise your daily workload
- Good IT skills
- The ability to follow instructions, guidelines and procedures
- The ability to work effectively as an individual, as part of a team and in partnership with others
- The ability to work unsupervised and to direct own work
- To demonstrate appropriate confidentiality
- A positive approach to personal learning and development
- A clean, valid driving licence
- A good level of general education

A first aid certificate would be beneficial to your application, if not possessed, the willingness to undertake training will be essential. Previous experience of conducting legionella temperature checks would also be an advantage.
