We are now looking for a Buyer to join us in Chelmsford and support our growing client portfolio with innovative procurement solutions to complement our way of working.

The Benefits

- Salary of £32,000 - £38,000 per annum

The Role

As a Buyer, you will be tasked with centralising our purchasing processes to improve efficiencies and support our QS Team.

Specifically, you will ensure that the right products are on-site at the right time at a cost that is at or below budget. You’ll have the chance to help us streamline our processes whilst working across the business and becoming a critical element in our projects.

Collaborating proactively on procurement plans for each project, you will ensure supplier quotes and goods meet with client specifications, strong relationships are built with suppliers and feedback is provided to the Project QS.

Additionally, you will ensure the placement and delivery of goods, valid supplier details are maintained within a database and accurate records are kept. You will maintain an awareness of new supply chains and supply options, innovating to ensure we meet the needs and requirements of our clients.

About You

To be considered as a Buyer, you will need:

- At least two years’ experience in a relevant procurement role
- Proven progressive experience supporting an expanding purchasing function
- Experience working within purchasing specific software development projects
- An understanding of the bigger business picture
- Experience working in a purchasing role without a predetermined list of suppliers and prices

Experience gained within the construction industry would be preferred, ideally in roles that have involved facades.
