We are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As a Quality Manager (QM), you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining QMS processes in line with international requirements.

Altus Science manufacture Certified Reference Materials and a good knowledge of Chemistry will allow the successful candidate to develop their technical abilities. The QM will help manage the technical aspects of the business as well as managing technicians who along with the QM perform R&D.

Working to maintain our reputation for quality, you will manage compliance for all our internal activities, correcting any non-compliance matters and reporting on the performance of the QMS to identify improvements.

Collecting and analysing data from across our operations, you will ensure quality processes are implemented correctly and company needs are met whilst ensuring customer satisfaction remains at the forefront of the teams’ minds.

Additionally, you will:

- Manage external and customer audits
- Oversee the H&S management of the organisation
- Ensure all employees understand the importance of the QMS
- Review, approve and manage identified risks and opportunities

About You

To join us as our Quality Manager, you will need:

- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
- The ability to develop QMS documentation, including COSHH and risk assessments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing capabilities
- At a minimum, a 2:1 degree, ideally in chemical sciences (Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering)

A working knowledge of pharmaceutical life science GMP or GLP would be beneficial to your application, as would experience in ISO 17025, IOSH, Six Sigma, analytical instrument validation and applying analytical statistics in the laboratory.

Other organisations may call this role Technical Quality Manager or QA Manager.
