Due to the popularity of our core Learning Platform, we are looking to recruit a Full Stack Developer to join our team in Canada and play a leading role in delivering updates and elevating developments.

The Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you will develop and deploy new functionality for our market-leading Learning Platform.

You’ll be working across our development operations for the platform but will specifically analyse specification documents to refine requirements and propose solutions. You will also work alongside our Development Team to provide ‘level of effort’ estimations for critical or escalated customer issues.

Additionally, your role will involve:

- Helping create and implement scalable development processes
- Writing efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensuring bugs and maintenance issues are dealt with
- Unit testing code and performing code reviews
- Assisting with QA testing and troubleshooting
- Providing a credible and approachable point of contact
- Easily explaining complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Identifying and providing recommendations for approaches and initiatives to enhance performance
- Identifying potential areas for growth
- Developing custom solutions aimed at meeting business objectives

Due to the nature of your role, you will need to incorporate at least a five hour overlap during your working day to cover our core hours (in line with EST or GMT-5).

About You

To be considered as a Full Stack Developer, you will need:

- At least three years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency with reactive programming
- Proficiency in, at least, two modern programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Go, Typescript, C++, C#, Objective-C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- An understanding of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis
- Design and architecture knowledge as well as familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design patterns (OOA/OOD)
- Experience working closely with designers, systems engineers, and software engineers in a collaborative development environment
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or commensurate professional experience
