If the answer is yes then this is a fantastic opportunity to support the Management Accounts Manager in producing Sue Ryder’s monthly management accounts, from draft through to final reviews and assisting with the validation and analysis of utility and telecoms billing data for the ledgers. This is a vital role in the finance team contributing to the delivery of Sue Ryder’s palliative, neurological and bereavement support across the UK

About you
You will have demonstrable experience in management accounting and the control procedures and monthly deadlines, prioritising to meet deadlines. The ability to organise, rearrange and critically appraise data and process and present in a clear and easy to understand format is essential. Some knowledge of access accounts or another similar system would be desirable but ideally you will be analytical with advanced excel skills.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Work closely with the management accountants to ensure that all income and costs are captured and reported accurately in line with the reporting timetable; to provide variance analysis for actuals verses budget/ forecast and prior year.
• Support the provision of financial, performance and variance analysis for all areas pertaining to the management accounts for inclusion in the monthly Finance Report. Support designated areas in developing financial and operational data input into the strategic planning process
• Liaise with Budget holders on a monthly basis to improve the financial understanding of the budget holders
• Undertake nominated balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with external auditors and compile year end schedules for the annual audit, as required by the ‘prepared by client list’
