A new exciting opportunity has arisen in the Managing Homes team for a Specialist Support Services Manager to cover whilst the post holder is on maternity leave. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and can confidently lead and develop a large team to deliver an excellent service to its customers.

The post holder will need to provide an effective and customer focused specialist housing related support and contract management service.

They will be responsible for the management and development of the Specialist Support Services section which includes the independent living/flexicare housing schemes, Careline and community support service.

The successful candidate will need to build and maintain excellent working relationships and partnerships with key staff, support providers and voluntary organisations working with vulnerable, older and disabled people at a senior level, both within and outside the organisation to enable the effective delivery of services.

About you
You will have:
• have excellent knowledge and understanding of housing related support services and services for older and/or disabled people
• have experience of providing an effective support service to people in a supported housing setting.
• have a service-orientated outlook and attitude, with a genuine desire to go the extra mile for all customers.
• be able to deal with competing priorities and use own initiative in problem solving.
• have excellent communication skills at all levels
• have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, manage and lead a team through change
• have well developed IT skills, experience of outlook, word and excel
