The Position
Job Title: IT Technician Apprentice
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician
Apprenticeship Duration: 18 months
Location: CV1 4PB Coventry
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9 to 5.30
Salary: £14,000


Role and Responsibilities

This role will mainly involve dealing with Level 2 escalation calls, monitoring & ensuring customer success, open tickets close as per SLAs & shadowing any customer-site visits & Installs during the initial 3-6 months period of on the job learning. As a junior post holder in a small technical team you will mentored by existing team members and aid delivery of their projects. Training around our systems and processes will be provided at company cost.

Key Responsibilities and Performance Indicators:
Learning curve to not exceed 6 months
Initial learning curve for a period of first 3 months
Product & technical, engineering courses will be provided for & paid by the Company during the initial period
Be able to exhibit a high sense of commitment, professionalism & commitment to the job-role.
Assist the technical & after-care team in achieving superior standards of customer-success
Shadow the existing Engineers on customer-jobs when on site across the country as a means to be able to carry out on site jobs as an ICT Engineer after the initial period independently.
Gain sound knowledge in desk-based support for phone systems, internet connectivity & our other products to provide for first class desk-based Level-1 Support to our client base across the UK & gain successful reviews from Clients
Be able to identify product opportunities & share them with Managers & V4 Directors proactively from time to time.
Be able to identify any potential threats to customer systems using a wide area of tools & address them proactively including on the weekends for critical faults if they come up.
Probation period will be for 18 months however can be reduced depending upon the process of learning & development witnessed
Be able to complete desk-based technical support or on site install completions for new or existing clients in Phone systems, Telecoms, general troubleshooting, Managed IT Services & CCTVs all across client sites in the UK
Be responsible for safe upkeep of internal V4 IT Systems & V4 Hardware safe-keep of Stock inside the Business as per outlined given processes
Be able to report on weekly & monthly improvements & willing to gain knowledge & fast changing exposure to the SMB Technology marketplace
Bonuses will be made available as additional earnings upon successful client review completions & product/after-sales revenue opportunities identified for the Business.


Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

Full UK driving licence
Effectively supporting ICT in one or more technical disciplines / areas
Providing key documentation relating to ICT issues, implementations
The provision of ICT advice and / or services to a large complex organisation
Delivering ICT in a flexible, customer focused environment
Any local authority/public sector experience
Any relevant qualifications held or being studied for
