Self Service is a high-end fashion distributor. Located right in the heart of London’s West End. We are now looking to recruit an Accountant / Financial Controller on a full-time basis, however part-time applicants will be considered.

The Role

As the Accountant / Financial Controller, you will support the operation of our accounting and financial processes for our two business entities, ensuring their commercial and financial viability.

Undertaking a broad range of activities day-to-day, you will engage in budgeting, managing tax payments and producing scheduled monthly and annual reports for our directors.

You will support the owner on the P&L and cash flow forecasts, working closely with our logistics and sales teams to achieve margins, whilst providing advice on international and national regulations and trade conditions.

Additionally, you will:

- Manage the Billing, Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Management reporting
- Assist with year end financial audits
- Complete month-end close and reconciliations, including journal entries to Sage
- Take ownership of the general ledger
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and policies

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- Experience in the fashion sector
- To be ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualified
- Experience of completing statutory accounts
- Experience of using Sage
- Knowledge of distribution software, ideally genesis or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- To be highly organised
