The Position

Job Title: Apprentice Network Engineer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 4 Network Engineer Programme
Apprenticeship Duration: 24 Months
Location: Gloucester, GL1
Working Hours: Flexible patterns 8-4 / 9-5 / 10-6
Salary: £13,000 to £15,000


Role and Responsibilities

Design, development, and optimization of a customer network solution using the best available technologies.
Handling of complex incidents escalated by the operations team.
Ticket administration, including the creation, updating, and closing of tickets in a timely manner in order to meet business requirements for clarity, detail, accuracy, and resolution time.
Setup of switches, routers, firewalls, and other network equipment. Changing existing configurations, adding new configurations, and creating new configurations to meet new installation or solution requirements.
Proactive analysis of customer solutions with the goal of improving operations and customer satisfaction.
Collaborating with onsite maintenance personnel to resolve issues remotely. directing and coordinating onsite activity with customers and third parties to achieve the best results.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

A logical mind that can work well under pressure.

A desire to learn new things on a regular basis.

Intermediate Word and Excel skills are required.
