About us
The Lake District National Park Authority looks after this unique corner of England, encouraging people to enjoy and understand its beauty and helping those who live and work here. Our staff include rangers and field workers, advisers at our visitor centres, planners and ecologists.

We’re hiring a Project Coordinator to provide coordination, administration and organisation of our Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme. The FiPL programme is part of the agricultural transition plan and provides funding to our farmers and land managers so they can carry out one-off projects that support benefits for nature, climate, people and places around the National Park.

Working directly under the FiPL Project Manager you’ll be part of the wider FiPL Delivery Team. This team of specialists, rangers and external partners contribute to delivering net zero, support nature’s recovery, improve opportunities for people’s health and wellbeing as well as increase its recognition as a great visitor destination.

We’ve moved to hybrid working combining working from home including days at our office base in Kendal (at least 2 days, including Tuesdays). You’ll be provided with a laptop to enable you to access our secure IT network when working remotely.

• Acting as a central point of communication to ensure that information is disseminated promptly internally and externally.

This is a fantastic development opportunity to join a dedicated team who are supporting famers and land managers to help move through the changes and challenges that farming is experiencing. As well as getting involved with the future of this special place, as we embark on the delivery of the new Partnership Management Plan.
