Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice Field Engineer to join their team in Cambridgeshire.

The Company

Field Engineers are required by our client based in Cambridgeshire. The main purpose of this role is to deliver excellent support services for customers through ticket ownership and adherence to Service Level Agreements, across a wide and varied customer base.

The Position
Job Title: Apprentice Field Engineer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician
Apprenticeship Duration: 18 months
Location: Cambridgeshire
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30-5.30
Salary: £16000-18000


Role and Responsibilities

You will be a talented field engineer who excels at fault finding, surveying and installation of hardware across the network. Maybe you are looking for a more locally based role rather than travelling all over the country. Maybe you are looking to work in an environment where you will be recognised for the awesome work that you do rather than just being a number in a large organisation. Above all you want to make a difference to your customers with a fantastic service.
To provide second line support for to a varied customer base.
Installation and commissioning duties for new and existing networks.
Respond to all faults in a timely manner.
Provide on-call cover as required by agreed on-call rota.
Regularly update the team on progress of faults, surveys or installations.
Complete all paperwork and documentation accurately

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

Accomplished communicator.
Team player.
Able to work under pressure.
Ability to influence others to deliver positive outcomes.
Previous experience in telecommunications or related field experience.
A sound knowledge of I.T. equipment and systems are essential.
Self-motivated and able to work to own initiative.
