We are looking for a Power BI Analyst to be based in London (working remotely up to 4 days per week).

The position holder will produce Business Intelligences dashboards in Microsoft Power BI for deployment on Yusen Vantage Performance customer tracking applications. They will analyse outcomes and provide insights to client managers and customers. Provide guidance and develop BI product offering.

Key responsibilities:

1. IT Solutions
a. Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.
b. Create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI.
c. Perform efficient detailed analysis of owned dashboards when requested
d. Develop DAX queries and functions in Power BI.
e. Create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations.
f. Perform SQL querying for best results.

2. Customer Service
a. Analyse data and present it through reports that can help in decision-making for internal and external stakeholders.
b. Working with Client Managers and customers, develop Business Intelligence solutions in Microsoft Power BI that provide actional insights to improve operational processes.

3. Continuous Improvement
a. Continuously review the approaches and ways of working to identify improvement opportunities
b. Keep up to date with latest developments in BI applications to identify best practice and recommend improvements


Key requirements:
• Experience of producing BI dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI
• Excellent Analytical skills
• Strong DAX Skills
• Experience of working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and NOSQL databases (CosmosDB) using ETL methods (SQL, SSIS etc.)
• Experience of computer hardware/software innovation and delivery
• Attention to detail with a methodical and thorough approach to work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interactions with the business, customers as well as technical teams
• Ability to learn and quickly respond to rapidly changing business environment
• Documenting, designing, and modelling solutions and explaining, representing, and discussing the same stakeholders
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Team player and initiator
