The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Health & Safety team, the role is to work closely with the Director of Safety and Compliance to ensure effective arrangements are in place for the management of health and safety, across all Guild Care services.
This role is crucial in developing a compliance and safety culture within the charity with a focus on continuous improvement through lessons learnt.
This role will concentrate in ensuring regulatory breaches are identified and measures are in place to reduce the risks through the appropriate accident and risk management.

Job Requirements

Essential

- NEBOSH national certificate in occupational health and safety or equivalent
- 3 years’ Health and Safety experience
- Experience of managing a team
- Previous experience of delivering a range of H&S related training
- Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft packages
- The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Check

Desirable

- NEBOSH national diploma in occupational health and safety or equivalent
- Relevant fire safety qualification such as NEBOSH national certificate in fire safety and risk management or equivalent
- Relevant training qualification such as Award in Education and Training
- Previous experience of working in the social care sector
- Up to date knowledge of H&S legislation in relation to the care sector, housing, retail or hospitality
- Car owner and driver to facilitate site visits
