The Organisation

Snowdonia National Park Authority (SNPA) protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Snowdonia National Park.

The Pen y Pass SNPA owned site is one of the main gateways onto Snowdon with both the Miners and PYG track starting from the site.

We are looking for a friendly Car Park Attendant to help us make the sublime beauty of the Welsh mountains accessible to everyone.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours a week on a fixed-term contract until November 2023, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

The Role

As the Pen y Pass Car Park Attendant, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the seasonal Pre-book parking system, ensuring the sites and facilities are presentable.

You will maintain Pay and Display machines in other Snowdonia National Car Parks, ensuring compliance by users.

You will also:

- Ensure vehicles are parked safely
- Direct traffic effectively, ensuring junctions and bus stops remain clear
- Courteously deal with the enquiries, complaints and other comments from customers
- Collate statistics on car parks as and when required

About You

To be considered a Car Park Attendant, you will need:

- To be fluent in both Welsh and English
- To be responsible and accurate when dealing with money
- To be able to engage with the public in a courteous manner, sometimes in difficult situations
- Good knowledge of the Snowdonia area
- A full, valid driving licence
