We are currently looking for an HR Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing the Vegan Society with clear HR advice and guidance as we carry out our operations.

Providing expert advice to our senior leadership, you will manage a range of HR functions ensuring all company procedures and policies are compliant with all relevant legislation. You will support the management of complex employee relation cases including restructuring and change.

Playing a crucial role in our organisational development, you will also produce an annual HR plan and will lead on HR activities such as the development and delivery of staff training programmes. Alongside these activities, you will lead our recruitment and build strategies and processes including our selection strategies and on-boarding.

Additionally, you will:

- Safeguard and promote staff welfare and wellbeing
- Lead on EDI delivery
- Act as the Data Protection Officer for the organisation

About You

To be considered an HR Manager, you will need:

- Extensive experience in HR
- Experience of supporting senior management and/or trustees
- Previous line management experience
- Experience of handling significant change, including restructure and/or redundancy, and TUPE
- The ability to answer complex queries over the phone or by email
- Experience of implementing and planning organisation-wide training
- Knowledge of GDPR and its application
- A high level of knowledge and understanding of employment law and HR policy and legislation
- Experience of recruitment
- To be CIPD qualified

Ideally, you will have experience of budget management as well as experience of using HR systems including recruitment portals.
