About Brockhole on Windermere
2021 was a record breaking year for Brockhole on Windermere, the Lake District Visitor Centre, and we are now expanding our adventure activity and boat hire offer even further. We are therefore seeking enthusiastic, energetic and charismatic people (16yrs +) to join our fantastic Adventure Activity and Boat Hire team for the coming season.

We offer great rates of pay, full training and a beautiful, inspiring and fun place to work.

We are the main visitor centre for the Lake District National Park, with 300,000 visitors a year, and our gorgeous Arts and Crafts House is set in 30 acres of landscaped gardens on the shores of Lake Windermere - what’s not to love!

What you'll be doing
You don’t need to have previous experience, as we will provide full training, but you do need to want to learn, be willing to work hard and to inspire customers with enthusiasm and a smile - and normally all wearing shorts and shades - whatever the weather!

What’s it like to work here?
These have to be some of the best jobs in the Lakes - working outdoors, leading fun activity sessions such as archery, laser clay shooting, krazy karts or hiring boats, kayaks and paddle boards to thousands of happy holiday makers.

This is a great way to develop your outdoor activity career further, or to get some experience in the leisure activity industry, learn easily transferable leadership skills and to earn good money in a fun and friendly environment.

You can work anything from a minimum of 2 full days a week to full time (37hrs), and there is always lots of extra work available in the school holidays if you want to earn more. We can offer up to 7 month full time contracts starting in March with all the benefits of working for a National Park, or you can join us part time or as a casual worker.

Members of staff also get discount on all of Brockhole activities so you can even go kayaking after work too!

If you would like to make a difference and make a contribution to this fantastic centre, and you have the right attitude matched with a friendly, outgoing and helpful personality and can inform and entertain in equal measure, then we would love to hear from you.
