News and Current Affairs Editor (2 Year FTC)

The Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM) is seeking a News and Current Affairs Editor to join them for a two-year fixed term contract.

This position will form part of the senior editorial team and will report to the Director of Communications and Business Development.

We are looking for a talented news and current affairs editor to join our brand new international digital scientific publication. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing, commissioning, and editing fast, accurate and impartial news articles. Ideally, they will have an area of expertise within the life sciences. We especially want to hear from those with a specialism in medical or applied science.

The successful candidate will have impeccable editorial standards and time management skills and an ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders and authors.
