The Role

As the Assistant Clinical Director, you will be tasked with managing the delivery of a wide range of counselling services to families and individuals throughout Northern Ireland.

In this key leadership role, you will ensure safe, effective, efficient and confidential counselling services are delivered. You will lead and oversee a team of Managers and Counsellors, as well as working alongside a team of Assistant Regional Managers, ensuring there is a focus on effective clinical services and safeguarding.

Meeting the requirements of contracted counselling services, you will ensure contract work is profitable and positive working relationships are forged. You will contribute to objective setting and strategic planning whilst creating and implementing systems, policies and procedures that will enhance the delivery of services.

Additionally, you will:

- Oversee the production of monthly, weekly, and ad-hoc reports
- Build and maintain relationships with various services and government departments

About You

To be considered as the Assistant Clinical Director, you will need:

- A minimum of five years’ post-qualification supervised clinical practice (accumulating to at least 600 hours post-qualifying practice experience)
- At least five years’ experience in a managerial capacity
- Experience of working in/with and talking to groups
- Experience with administrative systems including use of databases and Microsoft Office
- Experience in managing a comprehensive database system
- Experience in working with statutory and voluntary agencies
- Experience of working in schools and businesses
- A degree level (or equivalent) qualification, ideally a Masters
- A professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy (minimum Advanced Diploma or equivalent)
- A BACP accreditation (or working towards this)
