Salary: £18,525 per Annum FTE. Actual salary £11,115
Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week to be worked 3 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday (This may include bank holidays)
Daily hours: 08:45 -17:15 with 1 hour unpaid break.

About the role:
• Be responsible for the security of all shop monies under his/her direct control, including petty cash, daily takings and banking’s, as required and directed by the Shop Manager.
• Be responsible for ensuring effective safety and security of the shop premises, including risk assessments, safe systems of work and departmental induction training.
• Assist the Shop Manager in the recruitment of, training of and duty rotas for volunteer staff, ensuring adequate staffing in liaison with the Regional Manager, in the relevant shop premises under his/her control.
• Assist the Shop Manager in maintaining the shop in a clean and orderly condition, and using analytical reports making the best use of space to maximise income.
• Be responsible for reporting immediately to the Shop Manager, findings of cash, valuables and personal papers amongst goods donated to the Hospice/shop.

• Retail experience
• Experience of staff supervision
• Able to work as part of a team
• Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
• Must be able to undertake some manual handling operations
• Flexible approach to working hours and working week
• Experience of EPOS Systems
• Basic IT skills including email, Microsoft word
• Excellent Customer Service skills
