As we continue to expand, we are now looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our night-shift team working 7.45pm - 6.30am, Monday - Thursday.

The Role

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be tasked with supporting our manufacturing activities and performing a range of maintenance, refurbishment and repair work on manufacturing equipment.

You will work across our manufacturing operations, maintaining plant and ensuring machines are in the best possible working order.

You will also:

- Ensure there are sufficient supplies of spare parts
- Raise purchase requests for spares and general stock
- Complete any associated paperwork and records
- Liaise with the day shift maintenance team to ensure a comprehensive handover
- Prioritise your work to maximise machine up-time
- Utilise mechanical drawings and manuals to support your work
- Help to develop new and existing production processes

About You

To be considered as a Maintenance Operative, you will need:

- Experience in a similar manufacturing maintenance position
- A relevant electrical qualification and/or experience of fixing and fault finding in machine panels
- Good knowledge of power press mechanical working
- To be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate but also work independently using own initiative
- Self-motivated and pro-active flexible approach to work
- Conscientious individual with a positive “can-do” attitude

Experience of using of SAP would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
