We’re currently looking for an Engineer, to join our Darrington Quarries team in Knottingley, near Wakefield, on a on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across our fleet of mobile and fix plant equipment.

Following a maintenance schedule, you will provide temporary fix and permanent solutions to keep our operations functional.

Completing routine statutory electrical testing and mechanical fault finding, you will complete a range of remedial repairs.

About You

To be considered as an Engineer, you will need:

- Experience across a wide variety of machinery
- Able to read electrical drawings
- To be familiar with industrial mobile and fixed plant
- To have a working knowledge of PLC's, Inverters, Drives and Motor control circuits etc
- Up to date knowledge of the Electricity at Work Act
- Excellent mechanical diagnostic and repair skills
- A logical approach to fault finding and repair work
- Excellent communication skills
- To be trained to City & Guilds/ONC, ideally with knowledge of BS7671 17th edition
