About Us

We are Mental Health Innovations (MHI), a digital mental health charity that develops new ways to help people have conversations about mental health. Launched in May 2019, Shout 85258 is the first service from charity Mental Health Innovations. Shout is the UK’s first free 24/7 crisis text support service.

We passionately believe that technology can help improve mental health outcomes in the UK. We combine digital innovation, data-driven analysis and the experience of clinical experts to transform lives and improve access to high-quality digital resources.

About Shout

Shout is the UK’s only free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope. Our Volunteers have taken 1.4 million conversations with people who are anxious, stressed, depressed, suicidal or overwhelmed and who need immediate support. They help them move from a moment of crisis to a place of calm, empowering them to take their next steps to feeling better.

Shout helps anyone who is overwhelmed, whatever their age or background and wherever they are in the UK. As a digital service, Shout appeals especially to young people and two-thirds of our texters are under 25.

We are now looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team on a full-time basis and help us spread the word about our Shout 85258 support service. This role is available with an immediate start.
