As part of the FDS apprentice programme, you will be enrolled on an Infrastructure Level Three Apprentice programme with the option of moving to higher level qualifications.

The FDS apprentice programme runs for a 24-month period with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent role within FDS or DXC upon its successful conclusion.

The successful candidate will be someone who can blend first-rate customer service skills with hands-on IT support. Responsibilities will include providing end-user workplace support through a mixture of remote tools, telephone assistance and Deskside support. Take ownership and management of tickets, including responsibility for the resolution and timely functional escalation within contracted SLAs.

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo SC Security Clearance prior to being accepted for the role. For this reason, we can only accept and progress applications from British nationals.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday between 08:00-18:00 37.5 hrs per week (45 minutes for lunch).

Responsibilities and Essential Skills:

- Must be able to deal directly with clients in a friendly and highly confident manner demonstrating excellent internal and external customer communication skills
- Comply with Company Procedures
- Comply with Company Health & Safety Regulations
- Always seen to be helpful when dealing with clients and within the team, and display professionalism and patience when offering advice and support
- Be comfortable completing a certain amount of administration that includes updates in Service Now (Ticketing System)
- There may be an occasional requirement to backfill/assist on other local sites
- Support all levels of staff including VIPs on the account
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365

- Computer literate
- Quick learner able to work on your own as well as part of a team
