We’re now looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team in Innerleithen on a part-time, fixed-term contract until 31st March 2023.

The Role

In this key role as the Deputy Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of our Social Centre in Innerleithen, which supports older people throughout the Scottish Borders.

Your duties will include:

- Arranging stimulating activities
- Serving nutritious meals and helping people to socialise and enjoy their day
- Cash handling will also be required
- Supporting the recruitment, development, motivation and day to day line management of volunteers
- Supporting, developing and maintaining relationships with key local contacts
- Fundraising to achieve local targets
- Complying with associated statutory standards, policies and procedures

Working Hours

This is a part-time, fixed-term contract for 18 hours per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9am to 3pm each day until 31st March 2023. We are flexible to discuss individual working days and working hours to suit your situation and the service.

What you’ll need

- Experience of working within a care environment
- Cash handling experience
- The ability to proficiently use industry standard IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, Internet, etc) to a basic level
- The ability to demonstrate a sound basic level of literacy and numeracy skills
