We are currently looking for a Performance Improvement Analyst to join our team in Birmingham for a fixed-term contract or secondment lasting 6 months. You will conduct analysis to identify performance issues and successes in both online and offline processes and/or services to help and support multiple departments across the Commission.

Your Role

As a Performance Improvement Analyst, you will work with teams to develop performance management frameworks to allow them to identify key performance indicators (KPI’s), that are aligned to business benefits and process/service goals.

Your role will also involve:

- Providing expertise on best practice analysis techniques, to evidence that processes and/or services are meeting the required standard.
- Create and evidence hypothesis to identify issues and opportunities for improvements to key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a performance measurement framework for different stakeholders, from executives and senior managers to employees working daily on the processes and/or services.
- Balance user needs, organisational requirements, wider government approaches and recommendations against cost/effort; to delivering analytics that are appropriately scoped for all stakeholders.
- Support teams to identify local performance and quality issues, and develop a programme of operational practice and improvement to meet needs.

About You

- Experience within a similar role with evidence of implementing dashboards and reports in PowerBI in line with the requirements outlined by the team, to facilitate accurate and effective monitoring.
- Accreditation in Lean / 6Sigma or equivalent process improvement methodologies.
- Experience in building relationships across an organisation with excellent communication skills and clear evidence of managing stakeholder communications.
- Excellent quantitative skills, able to work with large volumes of data, apply statistical tools and models, as well as undertake research to detect trends and isolate essential relevant information for sound decision making.
- Excellent analytical skills including analysis of requirements and performance analytic outputs.
- Investigatory and report writing skills with ability to interrogate activities and workflows.
- Understanding of database structures and working with Database Administrators (DBA’s).
- Accomplished in using Microsoft tools to present clear, insightful reports using appropriate visualisation.
- Experience of working in an agile, project-based environment, focussed on delivering user needs.

The closing date for this role is 31st August, with proposed interview dates taking place on 7th and 8th September.
