The Position
Job Title: Account Manager Apprentice
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 IT Technical Sales
Apprenticeship Duration: 18 months
Location: SE1 1RQ
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9 to 5.30
Salary: £15,000


Role and Responsibilities

The Junior Account Manager will work under the supervision of the High Wycombe Regional Sales Manager as part of the Regional Account Management Team. The role is predominantly office based.
Their role is three-fold. Firstly, to work a list of smaller low touch clients - to build a deeper knowledge of the client and identify opportunities to sell a broader range of CIT and Sharp products through regular communication. Secondly to work on campaigns with the account managers to generate leads and opportunities in existing clients. And finally, to assist the other Account Managers with back office tasks, scheduling, and quote generation.

Working overall as part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will learn the skill to interact with the client base with a professional approach and how to take a consultative and client-centric approach, with a focus on delivering positive interactions and outstanding service delivery.

• Account managing and growing sales within a defined list of smaller existing clients
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments to maximise sales opportunities and to promote the very best client experience
• Work to a set of key objectives and KPI’s
• Work with the account management team to Identify and administer contract conversion of smaller clients
• Understand and demonstrate the core values of our Organisation that differentiate us from our competitors and why we are a good fit for their organisation
• Work with the other account managers through all aspects of the sales process to achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs for the region
• Work with the account managers to deliver and follow up on e-mail campaigns - closing to a sale or appointment with the client
• Arrange regular service discussions with key contacts with your set of clients
• Generate and qualify own leads and close opportunities
• Process own sales orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Use ConnectWise CRM system, to keep client records up to date, next actions in place, sales processes in real-time and log meeting discussion notes
• Attend and positively contribute towards regular planned internal team meetings including personalised 1-2-1 sessions


Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Previous customer service experience would be desired.
• To be comfortable and confident in all areas of communication from email to phone calls
• Willing to work in a fast paced and rewarding environment
• To be adaptable to change and have an open mind to learning new skills with a desire to always improve and develop
• A broad understanding of how and why Technology and IT products are used within the workplace
• Understand the importance of attention to detail when recording meeting notes and client information
• Able to work to strict deadlines and time bound targets
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
• Hardworking, reliable, professional, and well presented.
• Driven to provide the best possible client experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good time management, well organised
• Can organise own travel to and from the office
