We are now looking for Housing Solicitors to join our ambitious team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified solicitors with experience in Landlord and Tenant Law to step into a rewarding, inhouse role with our dedicated organisation.

The Role

As a Housing Solicitor, you will support a caseload of clients by delivering housing advice and advocacy services under Legal Aid Agency contracts.

Specifically, you’ll take part in negotiations, gather evidence and accurately prepare case/court documentation to effectively progress cases and meet targets.

Working alongside the wider team, you’ll participate in peer-to-peer file reviews and quality of advice assessments, providing information about clients’ circumstances to support research and campaigns.

Additionally, you will:

- Keep up to date with legislation, policies and procedures
- Develop an annual learning and development plan alongside your line manager

About You

To be considered as a Housing Solicitor, you will need:

- A minimum of three years’ experience of delivering advice and advocacy in housing and debt
- Experience of working within the remit of a Legal Aid Agency contract
- Experience of liaising with courts and/or tribunals and other legal bodies to reach a positive client outcome
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and clearly present letters, reports and complex applications
- IT proficiency
- A valid practising certificate

Please note, the successful candidate will be required to travel to one of our offices at least once a week, alongside travel to court to cover court duty.
