Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice Telecommunications installer to join their team in Hastings, England.

The Company
This company are supplying the FULL FIBRE rollout within the United Kingdom, we offer an end-to-end service including survey, plan, build, test and maintenance. With over ten years’ experience in the telecommunications industry with safety and quality always at the pinnacle of our day-to-day business, we are confident we can deliver your next fibre project efficiently.

The Position
Job Title: Apprentice Telecommunications Installer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician
Apprenticeship Duration: 18 months
Location: Hastings, East Sussex
Working Hours 0800Hrs-1630Hrs
Salary: 12-14k Dependant on Experience


Role and Responsibilities:

Installation of fibre optic networks on the Openreach and PIA networks, to include pulling, dressing and fixing cables, underground or overhead.
Jointing of fibre optic cables within the underground and overhead networks.
Testing of fibre optic networks, using tools such as reflectometers and OTDR.
Ensuring safety and quality standards are always adhered to.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

Basic knowledge of hand tools and an understanding of basic maps.
Driving licence desirable if over the age of 25, if not the case to live within a 15 min radius of Hastings.
Basic knowledge of computing and the use of mobile apps.
