What you will be doing

As a Collector, you will manage a portfolio of accounts to provide excellent customer service via telephone and email to agree repayment plans with customers. Working with both our customers and Partners, you will maximise account resolution whilst building and maintain strong relationships.

You will also be responsible for:

- Making and receiving telephone calls to deal with account level queries and disputes
- Ensure all accounts follow the correct collections path, with a view to assist customers, partners, and colleagues in the resolution of issues.
- Correspond frequently with partners to ensure productive professional relationships, and to maximise collections.
- Correspond with Insolvency Practitioners when dealing with insolvent accounts, ensuring all paperwork is lodged correctly and dividends are maximised.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Collector with:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both internally and externally
- Proactive and self-motivated approach
- Excellent customer service and ability to work with vulnerable customers
- Strong problem solving skills and an eye for detail
- Excellent negotiation skills, taking ownership of work
- Strong team player, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong MS Office experience

Knowledge of insolvency and bankruptcy would be beneficial to your application, as would a CICM qualification or working towards.
