We have an amazing opportunity for a Content Marketing Manager to join our purpose-led and successful Digital Marketing team based in Central London, UK.

The Role

The business already generates significant growth, adding thousands of new business customer locations every year with an increasing proportion of these coming via digital marketing channels and our website.

This is a new role, reporting to the Head of Digital to take responsibility for an insight-driven content strategy focused on B2B lead generation, with engaging storytelling at its heart.

What you will do:

1. Internal Content Marketing - Supporting teams internally to tell the ‘story’ consistently across all communication with customers and team members

2. Digital Content Marketing - Boosting the company’s reputation and driving qualified traffic that converts to leads through our website

- Execution and further development of the agreed content marketing plan based on acquisition and engagement goals, catering to our audience and customer types
- Deploying successful content marketing campaigns and projects from ideation to go live inc. lead generation nurture campaigns, partnerships, key date activity, etc.
- Working with our Digital Marketing team to produce high-quality, engaging campaigns across channels such as PPC, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Support best-in-class Customer Experience with amazing customer marketing content, from transactional and marketing emails, Whatsapp, SMS, in-account, and other promotional communications

3. Data and Reporting - Analyse content reach and prepare reports, measure performance, test, and act based on insights

- Test and optimise the best content for lead generation for different industry types and sizes from SMEs to large enterprise
- Boost engagement metrics on socials through a strong quarterly content plan based on the most relevant content for each social media platform
- Monitor conversion rates of leads to customers to iterate on the content that drives high-quality leads and continue to grow awareness
- Keyword research / identifying gaps etc. working with our SEO agency to ensure our Organic content ranks and performs for SEO

4. Line management and ownership of the content resource

- Line managing the Digital Marketing Assistant and ensuring their development (and happiness!) in key content marketing areas
- Manage the design and copy resources, briefing, overseeing, and approving content to be published and ensuring it meets all quality standards and consistency
- PR ownership: managing a freelancer or agency to tell the First Mile story
- Entering us into awards, develop stories/partnerships

Requirements

- Demonstrable experience in delivering Content Marketing Strategies across multiple touchpoints driving ROI, customer engagement, and lead generation
- Excellent communication and story-telling skills with fantastic written and verbal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project manage cross-departmental initiatives
- Performance Marketing and e-commerce experience preferable- whilst the role is not hands-on with Digital Marketing, you need to understand the different requirements of each channel
- Analytical and commercially minded- the ideal candidate with be highly analytical and able to make data-driven decisions that have sound commercial rationale and ROI
- Proven experience using Google Analytics, Excel formulas, or other equivalent tools desirable
- Amazing customer instincts - be natural at thinking like a customer e.g., what keywords really show intent? what proof points really matter to a customer at the point of sign-up?
- B2B services experience or good understanding of the differences between B2B, B2C, and ecommerce for services vs physical products, online orders, and lead generation
